Start with the Sun-Moon-Ascendant trio and ask how they get along. Then look at where each one sits (which house) and which planets touch them. To do that you need your chart calculated correctly, and for that you need your exact date, time, and place of birth.

How is this different from free calculators?
Calculators give you technical data: the wheel and template paragraphs with no connection to each other. A reading integrates your whole chart into one story: how your positions talk to each other, what they mean for what matters to you, and for your current moment.
Do I need my birth time for a reading?
For a complete reading, yes: the time defines your Ascendant and your houses. Without it you can get a solar reading (Sun and planets by sign), but it will be incomplete.
Do I need to know astrology to understand it?
No. A good reading is written in clear language and explains each position and how it relates to the others, without you needing to know the technical terms.
