What is a natal chart?

Your natal chart is the exact map of the sky at the moment you were born: where each planet was, in which sign and in which house. Unlike a horoscope (which only uses your sun sign, 1 of 12 possible), the natal chart combines 10 planets, the Ascendant and the 12 astrological houses — which is why each chart is practically unique.

To calculate it accurately you need three details: date, time and place of birth. Time changes the result the most, because your Ascendant and the house each planet falls in depend on it.

How to read your natal chart

  • Sun — your core identity, what we calculate free above
  • Moon — your emotional world, how you process what you feel
  • Ascendant — how the world perceives you when they meet you (requires exact time)
  • Venus and Mars — how you love and how you act on what you desire
  • Houses — the 12 areas of life (love, money, career, home…) where each planet expresses itself

Frequently asked questions

Is the calculator free?

Yes, 100% free and no sign-up. Calculate your sun sign instantly with just your date of birth.

Do I need to know my time of birth?

Not for your sun sign. But for your complete chart (Ascendant, houses and the other 9 planets) you do, because the sky changes by several degrees every hour.

How is this different from a generic natal chart calculator?

Generic calculators show loose technical data. Here, besides your sun sign for free, you can get a complete PDF report with an integrated interpretation of your entire chart — calculated with real astronomical ephemerides, not templates.

How much does the complete natal chart cost?

It is a one-time payment, no subscriptions, with a 7-day refund guarantee. The exact price in your currency appears when you calculate your chart.
