With Leo ascendant you have presence: people notice when you walk into a room. The ascendant —the sign rising over the horizon when you were born— describes how you show up to the world, and in Leo that shape is warm, expressive, and touched with natural flair.
How people see you when they meet you
You come across as confident and warm. You tend to be liked fast, and people remember meeting you. There's something in how you look, laugh, or tell stories that draws attention without you seeking it. The flip side: not being recognized for what you do affects you more than you admit.
Your ruler: the Sun
The ruler is the body that gives each sign its underlying character. Leo's is the Sun, tied to identity, vitality, and the desire to shine with your own light. That's why Leo ascendant brings a warm, generous presence, the kind that lifts others up.
Leo ascendant and your sun sign
With a reserved Sun —Virgo, Capricorn, Scorpio— the contrast is big: outside you look extroverted and confident, while inside you're far more private and self-critical than anyone imagines. With a fire Sun, the mix multiplies your magnetism.

What does it mean to have Leo ascendant?
It means Leo was rising over the horizon when you were born, so you come across with charisma, warmth, and presence, whatever your sun sign is.
Why do people think I'm extroverted when I'm reserved?
Because Leo ascendant creates a bright, sociable façade. Your Sun and Moon can be far more introverted: the ascendant shows how you present yourself, not who you are inside.
